QUESTION - With acrylics "IF" I thin them as much as you are thinning your oils in underpainting, then there's not enough binder to make the paint adhere to the canvas when it dries. So why doesn't this apply to oils also? Help. I just want to understand because I once did a thin acrylic underpainting and when dry I painted over that in very detailed oils, one of the best paintings I ever did in my life. A month's work later I saw in horror, my oil paint cracking and areas just peeling and falling off. I cried a lot. So please explain how and why I can thin my oils thin like you show and not be concerned about not enough paint binder to adhere it long term to the canvas? I'm switching from acrylics to oils now "if" I can be sure about how to safely do very thin watery underpaintings on my canvas. Thanks for any help. joyce

Zucchini ... A friend just gifted me a set of 40 oil paints and I cannot wait to get going.

I'm in love with glass, and paper backing for the palette, and pineapples. You do make this look less intimidating, and I'm working through the beginner videos because I ADORE how you are showing oils blend. I think I enjoyed that with acrylics only to find I couldn't use any of it before it dried. So now I'm hyped. Thank you for the video and work put into producing this!

What I’m always really amazed by with Lena’s paintings are the amount of patience it must take to render like this. I know artists go into a zone, I certainly do when I’m sculpting, but this must take such a long time.

I clean mine with Murphy's Soap from Walmart. Works very well. Not crazy about the scents but it washes out with dish liquid.. about $3-4 ..im talking acylic paints..havent tried oils.😊
